About the RoleWe are a stable, family-owned polyethylene packaging manufacturer with 40+ years in business, seeking a skilled and reliable Flexographic Pressman to join our production team. You'll set up, operate, and maintain our high-speed 8-colour wide-web flexographic presses to produce high-quality polyethylene film and packaging with tight registration, colour consistency, and minimal waste.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 8-colour wide-web flexographic presses (including plate mounting, ink mixing, registration, and tension control).Monitor press runs for quality, troubleshoot mechanical/quality issues, and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and standards.Perform routine maintenance, clean-up, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.Ensure safe operation and compliance with company safety protocols.Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.Inspect finished products and record production data accurately.What We're Looking ForMinimum 2+ years of hands-on experience operating wide-web/multi-colour flexographic presses (8-colour experience strongly preferred).Strong knowledge of flexo processes, inks, substrates (especially polyethylene), colour management, registration, and setup efficiency.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot press issues quickly.Attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to long-term growth in a stable shop.What We Offer1.5x overtime on every hour over 40 hours per week (and plenty of OT available for extra earnings).Profit sharing + performance bonuses.Full benefits package: extended health care, dental, life insurance.Expected compensation: CA$23 CA$29.00 per hour, with flexibility to negotiate higher based on experience, proven track record, and specific skills (e.g., quick setups, low waste management, leadership on complex runs).RRSP contributions after 3 years (equivalent to 1 week's salary).Clear advancement opportunities we promote from within and value experienced operators.Clean, modern, well-maintained facility with a supportive, long-tenured team.Stable family-owned company environment (no big-corp turnover).Competitive starting pay with flexibility to negotiate higher based on your experience and track record (e.g., quick setups, low waste, leadership on complex runs).If you're an experienced flexo press operator tired of inconsistent OT, weak benefits, or unstable shops and you want a place where your skills are rewarded with real total comp upside this could be a great fit.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
