Job Description

Our client in Brampton is looking to hire a Plant Manager to join their growing team in Brampton, ON. The Plant Manager position plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. In addition, this role is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in managing and coordinating the manufacturing process, from inspection to final finishingResponsible for usage and safeguarding of plant inventory and equipmentSupport the implementation of production schedules to meet customer demandsAssist with staff and equipment resource planning in coordination with production demandMonitor inventory levels of retread materials and finished productsSupervise and provide guidance to staff, assist in training and performance managementOptimize efficiency through process improvement, controlling costs, and coordinating with other departments for seamless workflowLead team to achieve production targets, reduce scrap, increase output, maintain equipment, and implement continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with maintenance staff to ensure proper functioning and preventative maintenance of retreading equipment as well as building equipment support systemsAssist in implementing quality control measures to achieve high quality standardsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and industry standardsContribute to the analysis of production data and recommend process improvementsSupport collaboration with sales, logistics and other departments to ensure we meet customer requirementsWork with the production software system, preparing ad-hoc production reports and tracking/reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as requiredOther tasks as may be assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in business, engineering, or a related working experiencePrevious experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a manufacturing environmentStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to interpret technical manuals and schematics for retreading equipmentProficiency in using production management software and MS Office tools such as excelCommitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to safety regulationsExceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with environmental and sustainability practices in tire retreadingCertification in tire retreading or related fieldUnderstanding of logistics and supply chain managementIf you are interested in this Plant Manager job in Brampton, ON please apply now!
