Job Description

Our client, a leading civil contractor operating throughout the Interior of British Columbia, specializes in large-scale earthworks, roadbuilding, utility installation, and civil construction for mining, municipal, and oil and gas clients. They are seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations on remote project sites and contribute to the success of their growing team. Key Responsibilities Oversee daytoday site operations while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications Lead and coordinate foremen and civil construction crews performing earthworks, roadworks, and underground utility installation Develop and monitor construction schedules, ensuring work progresses according to project timelines and milestones Coordinate labour, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and site efficiency Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture on site Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and maintain project progress Participate in a 14/7 rotation on remote project sites across the Interior of BC, with camp accommodations or LOA provided Ideal Candidate Requirements Several years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman Strong background in earthworks, roadbuilding, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction Proven experience managing multiple crews and coordinating complex construction activities on active project sites Experience working on remote project sites in BC or Alberta is considered an asset Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to read drawings, understand project specifications, and manage construction schedules Experience working on mining, municipal, or oil and gas projects is considered an asset Why This Opportunity?
