IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY Interim Program Manager Supply Chain Modernization Reports To: SVP, Modernization Duration: 12-24 Months Location: Toronto, ON Hybrid working Our client has launched a multiyear, enterprisewide Supply Chain Modernization Program aimed at radically improving how materials, services, technology, and logistics flow through the organization. This transformation is a core pillar of the broader enterprise modernization effort and is sponsored by the SVP, Modernization , who is accountable for driving integration across engineering, operations, commercial, and corporate support functions. The supply chain program is in its early strategic and mobilization phase . The organization is now seeking an experienced Interim Program Manager Supply Chain Modernization to build strategic foundations, lead partners, and accelerate alignment across business units to modernize planning, procurement, inventory management, supplier management, and enabling technologies. Role Overview Reporting directly to the SVP, Modernization , the Interim Program Manager will lead the design and execution of a modernized supply chain operating model. The successful candidate will build the roadmap, establish governance, coach internal leaders, and partner with systems integrators to reshape supply chain processes endtoend. The role requires someone who has led major transformation efforts in complex, engineeringheavy environments with sophisticated procurement and logistics demands. This handson mandate is ideal for a senior leader who brings clarity from complexity, challenges entrenched norms and ensures disciplined program execution. Key Responsibilities: Supply Chain Strategy & Roadmap Development Translate enterprise modernization objectives into a multiyear supply chain transformation roadmap , with clear workstreams, dependencies, and performance outcomes. Build the program management framework and integrated controls for the supply chain stream, including governance, decision rights, reporting cadence, and risk management. Shape a sequenced, realistic plan informed by early assessments across procurement, logistics, inventory management, engineering, and technology functions. Process Modernization & Technology Enablement Lead process mapping, optimization, and standardization for core supply chain activities. (e.g., demand planning, procurement, contract management, supplier risk management, warehousing, logistics). Ensure supply chain processes are ready for future technology enablement (ERP, automation, analytics, digital workflow tools). Collaborate with technology partners to align supply chain operating needs with platform capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement & Coaching Partner with senior leaders across operations, engineering, commercial, finance, and supply chain to align expectations and build support for the transformation. Coach workstream leads teams through changes to process, systems, and culture. Facilitate crossfunctional alignment where historical siloing has slowed decisionmaking and implementation. Integrator & Partner Management Act as the strategic point of contact for systems integrators and consulting partners supporting the supply chain stream. Ensure partner deliverables are aligned, sequenced, and integrated across workstreams. Challenge assumptions as needed and maintain accountability for execution quality, pace, and alignment. Change Leadership & Organizational Alignment Develop and lead the supply chain change management strategy, including communication, stakeholder impacts, readiness, and adoption. Challenge existing structures and norms that impede efficiency, modernization, and cost transparency. Support leaders in adopting new ways of working and reinforcing cultural readiness for enterprisewide transformation. Candidate Profile: Experience & Background The ideal candidate will bring: 15+ years leading large, complex supply chain, procurement, or operations transformation programs . Experience within energy, nuclear, utilities, major infrastructure, EPCM, transportation, or similarly complex sectors. A proven track record in modernizing procurement processes, supply chain systems, and operational workflows. Experience partnering with largescale systems integrators and implementing major technology platforms (ERP, digital supply chain tools). Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and governance in safetycritical environments. Capabilities & Competencies Exceptional stakeholder engagement, coaching, and communication skills. Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured plans. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a bias for execution. A positive disruptor who influences senior leaders and constructively challenges entrenched norms. Deep change leadership experience. Assignment Duration & Expected Outcomes: This interim mandate begins immediately and focuses on building the foundation for longterm supply chain modernization. Expected outcomes include: A comprehensive supply chain modernization roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy. A functioning program governance model and delivery methodology tailored for supply chain transformation. Clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for systems integrators and partners. Standardized supply chain processes ready for technology enablement. An earlystage change strategy and communication plan specific to supply chain modernization. Strong crossfunctional buyin and momentum across engineering, operations, commercial, and logistics teams.
