About the Role We are a stable, family-owned polyethylene packaging manufacturer with 40+ years in business, seeking a skilled and reliable Flexographic Pressman to join our production team. Youll set up, operate, and maintain our high-speed 8-colour wide-web flexographic presses to produce high-quality polyethylene film and packaging with tight registration, colour consistency, and minimal waste. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate 8-colour wide-web flexographic presses (including plate mounting, ink mixing, registration, and tension control). Monitor press runs for quality, troubleshoot mechanical/quality issues, and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and standards. Perform routine maintenance, clean-up, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Ensure safe operation and compliance with company safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Inspect finished products and record production data accurately. What Were Looking For Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience operating wide-web/multi-colour flexographic presses (8-colour experience strongly preferred). Strong knowledge of flexo processes, inks, substrates (especially polyethylene), colour management, registration, and setup efficiency. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot press issues quickly. Attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to long-term growth in a stable shop. What We Offer 1.5x overtime on every hour over 40 hours per week (and plenty of OT available for extra earnings). Expected compensation: CA$23 CA$29.00 per hour, with flexibility to negotiate higher based on experience, proven track record, and specific skills (e.g., quick setups, low waste management, leadership on complex runs).
