Technical Project Director - Nuclear Services Location: Greater Toronto Area (Hybrid / Project-based) Sector: Nuclear Energy & Services Level: Senior Leadership The Opportunity A global nuclear services organization is seeking a Technical Project Director to create and lead a new specialist nuclear services capability in Canada. This position offers a rare level of autonomy. You will be trusted to shape not only the technical and commercial direction of the business unit, but also the processes, systems and delivery framework required to support long-term growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a central role in expanding the organizations presence across Ontario and the wider Canadian nuclear market. The Role As Technical Project Director, you will: Establish and lead a new nuclear services business unit aligned with the companys global capabilities Define and implement the technical, operational and commercial strategy for this capability Design and introduce the processes, systems and governance required for effective project delivery Act as the senior technical authority and decision-maker for projects and clients Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing technical and project delivery team Drive business development activity, including client engagement, proposals and contract awards Oversee the delivery of nuclear projects to safety, quality, schedule, regulatory and commercial requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, regulators and key industry partners What Were Looking For Senior technical leadership experience within the Canadian nuclear sector Deep expertise in a specific nuclear technical discipline relevant to service expansion Proven experience delivering complex nuclear projects and programs Demonstrated ability to design and implement fit-for-purpose processes and systems Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting contract acquisition Thorough understanding of Canadian nuclear regulations and standards A confident, credible leader comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability Why This Role Opportunity to build a nuclear capability your way , rather than inherit legacy systems Real decision-making authority and executive-level visibility Long-term growth role within a global nuclear organization Competitive senior leadership compensation and benefits Next Steps This role is suited to a technically credible nuclear leader who wants ownership of strategy, structure and execution , and the freedom to implement what they know works.
