As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Equipment and Truck Shop Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Position: Heavy Duty Equipment and Truck Shop Supervisor Location: Toronto, GTA Employment Type: Full-time Job Description: Supervises, coordinates, and schedules the activities of workers related to the maintenance and repair of trucks and heavy equipment. Establishes methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities, including the requisition of materials and supplies. Main Duties: oversee, supervise, inspect, schedule, assign, prioritize, in heavy equipment maintenance and general maintenance of trucks and vehicles coordinate work assignments with mechanics to ensure efficient use of resources and repair of equipment in an efficient and timely manner provide mechanics with technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship maintain and manage accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements schedule and supervise day-to-day operations and workload for the shop ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed deal with suppliers and internal customers provide daily progress reports work a 10-hour day shift from Monday to Friday Required Qualifications: Heavy Duty Mechanical: 2-year experience (preferred) 310T or 421A Certification a valid class G Drivers License strong organizational and troubleshooting skills ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure strong communication skills and be a proactive, positive team leader strong work ethic strong mechanical background with knowledge of construction equipment and associated parts experience in leading teams of 10 or more people
