We are seeking a highly driven and scientifically grounded Bilingual (En/Fr) Field Medical Advisor to join the Canadian Medical Affairs team, supporting the Aesthetics portfolio with a primary focus on surgical products and devices . This role is critical in advancing medical and scientific engagement with healthcare professionals while ensuring the accurate, compliant, and ethical communication of clinical data and product information. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) contract position, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. The Field Medical Advisor plays a strategic role in strengthening the scientific positioning of the portfolio, supporting educational initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to align medical strategy with business objectives. This position requires strong clinical expertise, independence, and the ability to build trusted relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Medical Affairs Partnership, Scientific Communication & Promotional Review Serve as a Medical Affairs partner supporting promotional material development, review, and approval, ensuring accuracy, balance, and compliance. Manage promotional review workflows, including system submissions, approvals, and documentation as a Medical Affairs super user. Collaborate with brand teams to standardize product claims, references, and scientific positioning. Identify and recommend new or evolving claims aligned with brand strategy and emerging clinical evidence. Provide clear clinical and scientific input to support promotional and non-promotional materials. Ensure all materials comply with internal policies, national regulations, industry codes, and best practices. Maintain in-depth, current knowledge of assigned products, devices, and therapeutic areas/ Deliver clinical and scientific training to internal commercial and cross-functional teams. Scientific Advisor, Education & Strategic Alignment Coordinate and deliver approved scientific and clinical education programs for healthcare professionals Support needs assessments and gap analyses to inform field medical strategy and educational planning Partner with cross-functional teams and other Field Medical Advisors to tailor education to regional and local needs Support the development and execution of medical education programs, including trainer development initiatives Contribute to Medical Affairs planning and strategy in alignment with national, regional, and global priorities Execute Medical Affairs plans that support physicians and healthcare professionals while enabling business success. KOL Engagement & Study Support Establish and maintain strong, credible relationships with national and regional KOLs and academic centres. Identify key scientific topics of interest and collaborate on medical programs such as advisory boards and scientific exchanges. Review and manage investigator-initiated research proposals in accordance with internal SOPs. Support investigators involved in sponsored studies, as required. Remain current on legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements governing clinical research. Cross-Functional & Business Support Collaborate with brand, regulatory, compliance, and commercial teams on cross-functional initiatives. Provide medical and scientific input into brand strategy and execution. Support internal and external training initiatives, congresses, symposia, and scientific meetings. Advise and support speakers and faculty for educational and scientific events. Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support country leadership and broader business needs. Customer-Facing Responsibilities Build and maintain professional relationships with key thought leaders, healthcare organizations, professional societies, and external stakeholders. Provide accurate, up-to-date scientific and clinical information aligned with product and disease strategies. Represent Medical Affairs at national and regional scientific meetings and congresses. Support the development and execution of scientific symposia, speaker programs, and advisory boards. Identify and develop advocates for clinical trials, educational programs, and scientific initiatives. Respond to unsolicited research and publication inquiries in accordance with policy. Support training initiatives for sales and business partners. Effectively manage territory planning and travel to support assigned geography. Maintain appropriate budgetary control and complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner. Conduct all activities in compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal and provincial regulations. Comfortable using digital tools, systems, and technology to support daily work. Requirements PharmD or MD required (surgical background considered a strong asset). Experience in Medical Affairs or a related scientific role preferred. Bilingual (English/French) is a must. Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical aesthetics industry. Experience interpreting and presenting scientific or clinical research data. Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable using multiple systems and digital platforms. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
