Guided by a new Strategic Framework, the Council aims to advance coordinated industry action to strengthen Canadas global canola leadership. The Manager, Market Access, will work to address market access issues for canola and canola products (oil and meal) in markets of interest. Working across internal teams, domestic and global stakeholders, the Manager will advance the Canadian canola industrys export and trade interests. The Opportunity Its a critically important time for the Canadian canola industry and were looking for a dynamic and driven Manager, Market Access to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Government & Industry Relations, in this position youll play a key role in supporting and advancing CCCs market access priorities, working to advance and ensure smooth and predictable trade for Canadian canola and canola products (oil and meal) in global markets. Key Responsibilities Organizing, and convening the Market Access Committee, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Support the planning, implementation, evaluation, and communication of CCCs market access activities to address issues affecting Canadian canola and canola products. Represent CCC in advocacy efforts with domestic and international governments and participate in trade and market access focused forums. Represent CCC on government and industry committees and working groups. Conduct research and analysis on trade policies, export markets, tariffs, and non-tariff barriers to inform CCCs advocacy and policy positions. Contribute to the development and management of market access budgets and funding applications, including coordinated federal programs. Work collaboratively with industry partners on joint initiatives and advocacy efforts. Collaborate and support the delivery of market access priorities by contributing to planning, budgeting, reporting, resource coordination, and the preparation of materials. Qualifications A university degree in agriculture, international trade/relations, business, economics, or a related field; a masters degree is an asset. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working on trade, market access, government relations, or policy-related issues, preferably within agriculture or international trade. Knowledge of the canola industry is an asset. Experience developing and delivering strategic plans, workplans, and programs. Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to address member, stakeholder, and industry needs in a professional manner. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse perspectives. Experience working with consultants and managing budgets, projects, and reports. Strong writing, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
