Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join our dynamic human resources team. In this role, you will be the go-to person for a wide range of HR functions, helping to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure smooth HR operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting employees and organizational goals through effective HR practices. This role will report to and will take strategic direction from the Director of Human Resources. Duties Support recruitment, staffing, and onboarding activities. Communicate directly with plant, office, sales, and executive-level employees regarding the companys Code of Conduct, job descriptions, employee assistance programs, and general employee relations matters. Administer Health & Dental benefits packages, including enrolments and terminations. Maintain and update all employee records. Assist in documenting and supporting employment matters such as disability claims, disciplinary processes, termination protocols, and preparation of ROEs. Deliver Health & Safety training and maintain related records. Lead and manage the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) program, including scheduling meetings, maintaining minutes, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. Liaise with the Ministry of Labour and WSIB as required. Contribute to HR-related Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Develop strong knowledge and proficiency in ADP Workforce. Provide weekly updates on payroll information and support reporting on KPIs related to employee relations. Support succession planning, annual performance reviews, and compensation processes. Help coordinate and support special events that promote employee morale and community engagement. Demonstrate strong understanding of social media platforms for HR-related initiatives. Provide support on ad-hoc projects and tasks as required. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of HR-related experience. Strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (Ontario). Proficiency in MS Office applications.
