Humans of HR is partnering with a well-established, multi-site manufacturing organization in Greater Vancouver to hire a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across two production facilities. This organization operates approximately 220 employees across manufacturing environments and maintains structured quality and safety systems. The Opportunity This is a hands-on, operationally focused role supporting plant leadership and frontline teams across two facilities. The Health & Safety Specialist will work closely with the Plant Manager and site supervisors to ensure compliance, strengthen safe work practices, and promote a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities: Support and maintain site-level Health & Safety programs Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and internal standards Assist with internal and external safety audits Lead and participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis Support Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings Develop and update Safe Work Procedures and training materials Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation initiatives Track safety metrics and support reporting What Were Looking For: 37 years of Health & Safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations Experience supporting audits (COR / OSSE exposure an asset) Comfortable working on the shop floor and partnering with operations Strong communication and documentation skills NCSO, CRSP (in progress), or related certifications considered an asset Why This Role?
