Senior Construction Inspector / Office Person(Contract Administration Support) Noveen Engineering Inc. Noveen Engineering Inc. is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Inspector with a strong background in overseeing complex MTO and/or municipal highway, road, and bridge projects , and the ability to support office-based contract administration duties as required. Role Responsibilities Lead and perform complex inspection duties, ensuring compliance with QA/QC requirements and contract specifications. Conduct rigorous site inspections and proactively monitor construction activities to confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, drawings, and specifications. Identify and document non-compliance, contribute to resolution discussions, and assist with implementing corrective actions. Support the Contract Administrator/Project Manager by providing inspection findings, documentation, and technical input for contract correspondence and issue tracking. Your inspection work may focus on one or more of the following areas: soils, concrete, mechanical, or electrical . Travel and potential relocation to field sitesparticularly within the MTO Central and West Regions are aspects of this role. Additional Duties (Field + Office) Perform daily inspections to monitor contract compliance and adherence to specifications. Oversee bridge and road inspections on active projects and coordinate with project stakeholders as required. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote safe work practices onsite. Maintain detailed records, including daily diaries, photographs, inspection reports, and deficiency tracking logs , to support contract documentation requirements. Coordinate onsite sub-consultants and oversee quality assurance for material testing and reporting. Track installed quantities for monthly payment verification , extra work, and change order support (including measure-up documentation). Assist with project administration tasks such as: Maintaining organized project files (digital and hardcopy) Preparing and reviewing quantity calculations Supporting progress payment documentation and change order backups Assisting with meeting minutes, action logs, IR tracking, and document control Supporting coordination of RFIs/Information Requests and field-to-office reporting Qualifications Minimum 10 years of construction inspection experience, specifically with MTO and/or municipal transportation projects . Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering , supplemented by relevant experience. Certification as an EIT or P.Eng. (PEO) , or Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) by OACETT . Familiarity with MTOs Construction Administration and Inspection Standards (CAIS) . Strong knowledge of design standards, OPS specifications , standard drawings, and QA/QC material testing methods. Excellent organizational skills with strong interpersonal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel , and MTO CMS (or similar contract management systems).
