Position Overview As Health & Safety Officer you will play a key role in ensuring that Health & Safety policies and procedures are following allowing for a safe work environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing safety training and guidance to all employees Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements Ensure vehicles, equipment, and materials are used according to the relevant standards Audit worksites to maintain safety standards Investigate workplace incidents and accidents Ensure accidents and injuries are reported on time Assist with WSIB claims and related documentation Follow and enforce client safety procedures Identify potential hazards early and take corrective action Recommend improvements to safety tracking and reporting processes Support the development and implementation of safety policies and programs Contribute to project management teams from a safety perspective Qualifications Experience withing the construction industry is essential. Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is preferred Common Core training would be advantageous 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Ability to work on weekends or outside of normal working hours when required Ability to travel between various sites. Whats in It for You?
