Site Superintendent: High-RiseSite Superintendent role with an experienced Vancouver based Developer-Builder with over 30 years of local success. You will be building a 35+ storey tower with amenity spaces and a wood-frame rental building. There BC Developments have focused on high-rise projects (residential and mixed-use) and the occasional townhome project.Upcoming Project35+ storey tower on a massive underground parkade with commercial spaces, a daycare and an adjacent wood-frame rental buildingLocation: CoquitlamThe project has recently broken ground and the selected candidate will start ASAPPhase 2 is in the planning stage and could add another 2-3 years to the build out if it proceeds as plannedDuties:Lead weekly trade and daily team meetingsReport consistently with the to Senior Superintendent and Senior Project ManagerMentor and support the site staff including the Project Coordinator, CSO, and Assistant SuperintendentsSupport and empower the Finishing Superintendent once they are added to the projectUpon joining you with get caught up on the blueprints and gradually take over all scopes from the Senior Superintendent; eventually, taking full ownership of the project so the Senior Superintendent can support value engineering and pre-construction on the upcoming phase and future projectsYou will manage the Superintendent who will lead the wood-frame rental apartmentLead the strong trades team through detailed scheduling and trade coordinationRequirementsExperience leading 1 or 2 full-cycle concrete towers (10+ stories) from start-to-finishWilling to report to a Sr Superintendent and proving you can handle the project with less supervision for phase 2Skilled in leadership, clear and polite communication, a positive attitude, stress management and how to lead tradesPhysically capable of walking this large site dailySoftware skills: MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam and Excel A history of successful project in BC and a strong knowledge of the local codes, challenges and requirementsExperience leading wood-frame multi-family projects is an assetStrong references & a history of tenureCompensationSalary: $160,000 - $175,000Project Completion BonusBenefits: Medical and dental benefits after probation of 3 monthMileage coverage for mid-day drivingVacation: Competitive How to Apply:Apply on this page or email your resume to
