Building & Facilities Manager Pursuit Collection Jasper, AB Fulltime, Seasonal (Spring/Summer, 2026). This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, and will be a fulltime seasonal role. Roles & Responsibilities All buildings (Discovery Centre, Glacier Skywalk, and Employee Camp) are kept clean and well maintained. Overall safety of our facilities as they pertain to our guests and staff. Develop a preventative maintenance program for all facilities with appropriate checklists, and follow up. Maintain a positive working relationship with key partners including our wastewater partners, Parks Canada, suppliers and repair personnel. Be an active member of the management team of the Columbia Icefield. Maintain regular maintenance of our facilities located at the Columbia Icefield. Annual startup and shutdown of Icefield facilities. Offer suggestions for capital improvements that will improve efficiency, drive a positive guest and employee experience, and allow us to become better environmental stewards. Motivate our maintenance team and ensure clean and neat facilities. Manage contractors within Icefield facilities. Lead three or more departments, delegating effectively. Achieve revenue targets, and manage expenses to desired net operating targets. Develop budgets with senior leadership, forecast expenses. Manage expenses relative to expectations. Hire, train, schedule and onboard new staff members. Develop, revise and update training materials to ensure training is consistently delivered. Hold staff accountable to all duties and expectations as laid out in the training materials. Provide an environment whereby maximized staff engagement is the culture. Keep all inventory storage and work areas organized, clean, and void of clutter. Provide onfloor leadership and rolemodeling for staff. Ensure all communications to customers and colleagues are professional in nature and crafted with respect. Uphold uniform and appearance standards. Actively participate in teams activities during and after operational hours. Be on call 1 night per week at our staff accommodation (MOD program). Assist in opening and closing of our staff accommodation, tasks that can vary from cleaning, employee movein/out, uniform cleaning and commonroom cleaning. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of leadership experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to troubleshoot problems, create and implement solutions. Power engineer or other trade is a definite asset. Wellrounded in plumbing, carpentry, operation of boilers, heating and electrical systems. Handson manager. Strong relationshipbuilding skills. Hiring and performancemanagement experience. Excellent conflictmanagement skills. Valid Canadian drivers license (with less than 5 demerit points).
