Responsibilities include maintaining confidential personnel records, coordinating recruitment and hiring processes, managing licensure and contract administration, supporting HR systems and reporting requirements, and assisting with compliance and HR data analysis. The role collaborates with administrators, finance, and payroll to support position control, employee onboarding, and workforce management while ensuring adherence to district policies and state and federal regulations. Qualifications - Education: Bachelors degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Certification: None is required but relevant human resources certification preferred (to include but not limited to SHRMCP, PHR, IASBO). - Experience: A minimum of one to three years experience in human resources or educational setting preferred. - Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law, regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system (Skyward preferred). Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. - Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community. Essential Functions - Maintain electronic personnel files and filing systems for Certified employees in accordance with established retention and confidentiality requirements. - Maintain the personnel report and assist with preparation of materials requested by the School Board of Trustees pertaining to human resources. - Oversee new hire Certified employee process. From initial recommendation to hire to completion of background check and all new hire paperwork. - Provide training for hiring managers. - Support Certified employee recruitment process to include coordinating job fairs and managing applicant tracking systems. - Maintain and update Certified employee job descriptions. - Support position control mechanism in coordination with finance and payroll. - Manage teacher licensing and recertification process in coordination with school building administrators. - Coordinate student teacher placements. - Prepare all applicable reports to state and federal agencies as related to human resources. - Compile and analyze human resources data and prepare internal reports. - Prepare and maintain Certified and Administrator employment contracts on an annual and as-needed basis. - Administer all Certified employee lane changes. - Assist in overseeing HRIS software and programs, including maintenance of existing systems, annual work calendars and updates, and rollovers, as needed. - Assist with ECA employee hire process in coordination with HR Coordinator as needed.
