Job Description Posted Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 7:00 AM Job Summary The Crew Scheduler is responsible for assigning and managing flight crew schedules to ensure all flights are staffed with qualified, legal, and properly rested crews. This role supports day-to-day airline operations and responds to operational changes while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Qualifications and Requirements - Minimum: Completion of Grade 12 (High school diploma) - Experience in airline crew scheduling, dispatch, or operations coordination preferred. - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. - Excellent communication and problemsolving skills. - Proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office applications - Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation Security clearances - Legally eligible to work in Canada - Current Criminal Record Check - Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Assign pilots and cabin crew to scheduled and unscheduled flights - Maintain crew rosters in accordance with CARs, the COM, and company policy - Manage reserve, standby, and relief crew coverage - Monitor flight and duty time limits, rest requirements, and crew qualifications - Identify potential conflicts or legal issues and escape as required - Ensure scheduling records are accurate and up to date - Adjust crew schedules in response to weather, maintenance issues, or crew availability changes - Minimize operational disruption while maintaining compliance - Communicate schedule assignments and changes clearly to flight crews - Coordinate with Dispatch, Operations, and Training as required - Respond to crew scheduling inquiries professionally and promptly - Support bid periods and roster publication - Produce routine scheduling and utilization reports - Assist with crew travel coordination related to assigned schedules. Working Conditions - Office setting: Schedule: 8 hours per day - Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 4:30 pm). Occasional afterhours support during operational disruptions. - Tools & Equipment: Daily use of desktop or laptop computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for audit reports, data analysis, and presentations - Physical Demands: May involve prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional standing or walking. - Collaboration: Regular interaction with flight operations teams, and regulatory bodies.
