Position Overview Fulltime, tenuretrack appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the field of political theory at Wilfrid Laurier University, beginning July 1, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). Salary range: $90,000$110,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities - Teach undergraduate and graduate political theory courses, including PO237 Pathways to Modern Politics. - Develop and deliver highquality, inclusive, and engaging courses. - Conduct research in political theory, with preference for scholars specializing in law, settler colonialism, Indigenous worldviews and politics, nonWestern political thought, or critical perspectives (gender, race, disability studies). - Publish and present research findings in peerreviewed venues. - Participate in departmental service and the broader university community. - Engage in policy practice, community outreach, or experiential learning activities (asset). Qualifications - PhD in Political Science (or equivalent), with a concentration in political theory, completed by the date of appointment. - Demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at a comparable career stage. - Record of highquality teaching evidenced by evaluations, syllabi, or teaching philosophy. - Evidence of research productivity and potential for continued scholarly activity.
