We pride ourselves on having standout talent and delivering an exceptional client experience. .The **Toronto** office of **Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG),** Canadas leading, innovative and client-focused law firm, is seeking an:# **Associate Disputes (Construction)**The candidate will have an opportunity to join Canadas largest construction law group and work along side professionals recognized for their extensive and in-depth industry experience.## **We are looking for**The ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 6 years experience in construction and infrastructure law, be a team player, take great pride in their work, and have strong analytical, personal, oral and written communication skills.This role will offer the successful candidate the following opportunities:* Acting on behalf of sureties, owners, contractors, subcontractors in disputes arising from public and private construction and infrastructure projects.* Advising sureties on multiproject and largescale defaults and insolvencies, working collaboratively with lawyers across multiple practice areas.* Drafting, advising and negotiating contracts for procurement and construction.* Advising on a broad range of construction issues such as breach of contract, breach of trust and construction liens.* Being a team member of a busy national construction group.* Career advancement and development with numerous client-facing responsibilities.**BLG is committed to building a diverse workplace reflective of the communities we serve and to fostering an inclusive culture where Firm members feel valued, respected and inspired to thrive as their authentic selves.
