Functional Accountabilities - Develop and Maintain Features: Take ownership of features that align with product goals, contributing to a high-quality codebase across the stack. - Contribute to Sprint Planning and Retrospectives: Participate in planning and retrospectives to help the team meet sprint goals and continuously improve processes. - Conduct Code Reviews: Review others code and provide constructive feedback to strengthen code quality, security, and maintainability. - Collaborate with Team and Stakeholders: Work closely with peers and stakeholders to understand requirements, refine solutions, and deliver outcomes that meet customer and business needs. - Ensure Security Standards: Adhere to and promote security practices so your code consistently aligns with Schema App standards. Key Competencies - Proficiency in Programming: Strong proficiency across the full stack: serverside development (PHP/Laravel) and frontend work in JavaScript and Vue.js. Applies full stack development patterns and software architecture principles to write robust and maintainable code. - Collaboration: Works effectively in crossfunctional teams, partnering with product managers, backend engineers, and designers. Contributes thoughtfully to team discussions, code reviews, and shared goals. - ProblemSolving: Skilled at breaking down complex problems and identifying root causes. Takes a methodical approach to designing clean, testable, and scalable solutions in a fastpaced environment. - Agile Execution: Participates actively in agile development processes such as sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups and delivers highquality, incremental improvements with speed and consistency. - Communication: Communicates clearly with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Writes documentation, provides helpful feedback in code reviews, and keeps teams aligned through proactive updates. - Technical Expertise: Familiar with REST/GraphQL, relational databases (AWS RDS), automated testing, containerization (Docker), CI/CD, and cloud platforms. Strong AWS familiarity (S3, RDS, Lambda/ECS/EKS, CloudFormation) and experience with Amazon QuickSight or similar BI tools. Comfortable with tooling such as Webpack/Vite and practices that support performance, security, and maintainability. Metrics for Success - Cycle Time: Maintain a fast development cycle by addressing pull requests promptly and reducing delays in feature delivery. - Code Output: Deliver highquality, secure code regularly as part of weekly releases, contributing to a predictable and efficient deployment cadence. - Security & Standards: Write secure, scalable code that adheres to best practices for frontend development and meets internal standards for maintainability and performance. - Efficient Cloud Infrastructure: Ensure all deployed resources (including those touching cloud AWS infrastructure) are consistently tagged and wellorganized to support traceability and cost efficiency. - Team Contribution: Actively participate in code reviews and team rituals to uphold code quality, share knowledge, and improve teamwide engineering standards.
