Permanent fulltime position, 37.5 hours per week Workplace: Le petit voilier educational daycare at SaintJoseph Public School, Penetanguishene, Ontario Salary: $20.78 to $26.14 per hour (depending on training and experience) (+ various subsidies depending on eligibility) Start date: as soon as possible Under the guidance of the Coordinator of Educational Childcare Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and evaluating the programs and services offered at their site, with the support of the staff under their supervision and the childcare management team. Key Responsibilities - Provide staff with adequate supervision and support and conduct performance evaluations on an ongoing basis. - Ensure that permit requirements are met at all times and perform the administrative tasks assigned to him/her. - To ensure a harmonious relationship and climate with the school team. - Develop a relationship based on respect, uniqueness and pleasure. - Build a relationship of trust with the parents and exchange information with them about their childs development. - Ensure the maintenance of equipment and premises and respect applicable laws and regulations. - Facilitate educational workshops for children aged 4 to 12, including activities aimed at development: - Language skills - Motor skills - Selfesteem and social skills Qualifications and Skills - Have a degree in early childhood education or commit to obtaining one. - Be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario or be in the process of becoming one. - Have an open mind, good communication skills and enjoy working in a team. - Have patience, dedication and be resourceful. - Have excellent French and English skills (spoken and written). - Have experience working with children. - Having experience supervising a daycare is an asset. - A clean criminal record check is required. - Possession of a valid first aid certificate (general first aid and CPR/AED level C) is mandatory. - Having a driver's license and a vehicle is mandatory.
