The Analyst is a value creation operator within the Investment Teams Yield arm. This role focuses on partnering with operations to improve EBITDA, cash flow, and revenue quality across Valnets core businesses and new ventures. You will partner with business/unit leaders to identify, quantify, and help execute profitability improvements by linking investment theses and operating priorities to measurable financial outcomes. Responsibilities: Investment & ROI Modeling Build financial models and adhoc analyses P&L Performance Acceleration Run recurring P&L and KPI reviews across portfolios Identify margin expansion opportunities and cost inefficiencies Recommend capital reallocation toward higher-yield initiatives Investment Trajectory Monitor performance vs. investment thesis (VBS leaderboard) Track milestones and leading indicators Flag risks early and propose corrective actions Ensure resources flow to winners Support business cases for new monetization streams Model pricing, ramp curves, retention, and contribution margins AI & Automation Use AI tools fluently to automate reporting and analysis Build lightweight agents/workflows to increase analytical velocity Continuously improve decision speed and insight generation Executive Exposure Prepare decision-ready materials for the C-suite Present findings clearly, concisely, and with conviction Required Qualifications: 27+ years in M&A, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services Strong P&L intuition understands operational drivers, not just financial outputs Bias for action: comfortable moving from analysis to execution support High ownership mentality and accountability AI-native mindset Full health insurance plan (including medical, dental, and vision).
