Responsibilities As an Owner Operator Driver with Altom Transport, you are more than just a driveryou are a business owner and a critical partner in our operation. Your role includes: Safe Transportation: Hauling chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while adhering to DOT regulations. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring your truck meets all inspection standards and remains in top condition for longhaul success. Loading & Unloading: Following proper procedures for ISO/FlexiBag or Tanker operations at loading and delivery points. Compliance & Documentation: Maintaining accurate logs, submitting necessary paperwork, and adhering to Hazmat regulations. Customer Service: Representing Altom Transport professionally at all customer locations. Business Management: Managing fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue. Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to the overall success of the operation. 24/7 Operation Willingness to be available 24/7 when needed. Altom Transport requires qualified, safetyfocused drivers operating latemodel equipment that meets Altoms inspection standards. The following requirements reflect Altoms strict hiring, compliance, and safety expectations: Latemodel equipment that meets Altoms inspection standards Valid CDL Class A License Tanker Endorsement (N) Required Hazmat Endorsement (H) Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available) TWIC Card Preferred (or must obtain after hire) At least 23 years of age Minimum 1 year of verifiable tanker experience (2 years within the last 5 years preferred under safety vetting) Clean MVR and strong safety record No DUI/OWI within the last 5 years Cannot be prohibited in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse No atfault/preventable fatal or rollover accident in the last 5 years No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years No more than 2 CSA moving violations in the last 18 months No falsification on the driver application Must hold a current X endorsement Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check Dependable, safetyminded, and capable of working independently Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations if needed Altom supports its mission first, safety always culture through mandatory onboarding and training, quarterly safety meetings, emergency response compliance, DOT and hazmat awareness testing, safety technology such as forwardfacing cameras and governed equipment, incident investigation programs, RCMS/HSE standards, and PPE replacement guidelines.
