General Purpose Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Recruitment Manager plays an integral role in achieving OACs enrollment goals across its six departments and supporting its satellite campus at Ridgetown. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the College, the Manager plans, coordinates, manages and executes events (virtual and inperson) that communicate the career options and value of a degree in food, agriculture and related fields, including communications to prospective students, teachers, guidance counsellors, government and industry. The Manager will provide leadership to the Liaison Program team and support staff in a multifaced, timesensitive environment. This position carries a great deal of responsibility in representing the University of Guelph and OAC to both internal and external groups, which includes communicating with thousands of students, parents and hundreds of teachers each year. The Manager actively collects data and feedback from secondary students, teachers and guidance counsellors to complete a quality assessment of offerings provided by the OAC Liaison program and gathers demographic and student perspective information to steer future Liaison program engagements. Duties and Responsibilities Develop a strategic plan for OAC Liaison Program and the Colleges undergraduate and diploma recruitment efforts to meet enrolment targets and increase awareness of its academic programs. Create growth opportunities for recruitment including a focus on international markets. Manage and support OAC Liaison Program team including a Liaison Officer and student staff responsible for executing educational content and recruitment events. Further develop and maintain external partnerships across the education sector, government and beyond. Manage OAC Liaison Program budget including creation of annual reports on spending and fund allocation. Work with marketing and communications team to develop resources for prospective students, applicants, parents, teachers, community partners and industry stakeholders as needs arise. Other duties as assigned. Some evenings and weekend work is required. Requirements University degree and three years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A keen interest and passion for food, agriculture, environmental science and related fields. Excellent presentation and communication skills and experience overseeing a serviceoriented team. Strong project management, mentorship and collaboration skills and a keen ability to bring people together to achieve a common purpose. Knowledge of the postsecondary recruitment cycle and associated best practices with an ability to stay up to date on market trends. Ability to work with and process confidential information with discretion and sensitivity. Experience in managing a budget and reporting on key metrics. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
