Food Labelling / Regulator Affairs Coordinator Woodbridge / Brampton On-site 5 days week Food Manufacturing The Company: Our client, a growing and well-established food manufacturing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs / Food Labelling Coordinator to join their team. Our client is passionate about baking and giving their customers desserts, snacks and confectionary sweet goods. The Opportunity: The successful candidate will act as the guardian of product accuracy, ensuring all packaging, ingredient statements, and marketing claims meet regulatory and company standards. This role is ideal for a regulatory-focused professional who thrives at the intersection of compliance, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Review and proof packaging and labels at all design stages to ensure accuracy of grammar, ingredient lists, nutrition facts, allergen declarations, and marketing claims. Verify ingredient lists are in descending order by weight and allergens are properly declared. Ensure claims such as Organic, Low in Fat, and Product of Canada are substantiated and compliant. Ensure compliance with regulations set by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Maintain compliance with the Food and Drugs Act and the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act. Manage the full label lifecycle including creation, revisions, approvals, and release. Maintain labeling databases and software (e.g., Genesis R&D, ESHA) and manage digital label files. Update nutritional information and ingredient statements when formulas or suppliers change. Maintain product specifications, certifications, and controlled documents. Enter and verify product data to ensure labeling accuracy. Coordinate bilingual (English/French) translations when required. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, R&D, Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure complete and accurate specifications. Liaise with vendors to obtain nutritional and regulatory documentation. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance labeling accuracy and workflow efficiency. Ideal Qualifications & Competencies: 25 years of experience in food labeling, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. food labeling regulations. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and nutritional labeling software (e.g., Genesis R&D). Strong English communication skills; French is an asset. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
