Job Description We are currently seeking a Mining System Specialist to join our mining team on a 14 days on and 7 days off assignment rotation to site in Leroy, SK. The Mining System Specialist will be responsible for the deliverables and documentation required for mining system deployment activities: lowering, storage, assembly, launch, and commissioning. This role will work on the Hatch and Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan, which has a published TIC of US$5.35.7Billion. This will be a camp position on a 14 day on, 7 days off rotation. The Jansen project has set up a dedicated team to execute the mining scope. As the mining scope is on the project critical path, this team supports the sequential nature of mining tasks while ensuring seamless interfaces with the rest of the Jansen project. The team promotes shared accountability between BHP and HBJV. The Mining System Specialist will work with other Mining Systems team members and the BHP Ops Maintenance Mining Systems team. The mining system is composed of a borer machine, extendable belt system, ventpowertrain, and friction monorail system deployed independently using existing and new Jansen mining infrastructure. The specialist will focus on deliverables and documentation required for the mining system deployment activities. The specialist will work closely with the vendor, package coordinators, and subjectmatter experts (SMEs). They will ensure all documentation associated with the deployment is readily available in a timely manner, support vendor and thirdparty personnel onboarding, review resource proposals and LEMs, and communicate questions or concerns to the equipment provider. The specialist will also support the MS Planner with weekly and monthly progress reporting and forecasting, and liaise with BHP Operations Underground Production for vendor interface. Key Responsibilities Review vendor documentation and ensure the onsite team has the latest information for planning and execution Submit technical queries Interface with the vendor and other site teams Support BHP Ops with future operations planning/information gathering as required Support the onboarding of third party personnel Spend time during deployment activities underground and in the field Execute improvement initiatives Order spare parts as required Support project management tasks track costs, complete trends, support contractual updates and issuance of documents Participate in field leadership Participate in company and site required training Participate in the site risk and control program Attend Managing Operational Performance meetings Adhere and exhibit Jansen core values Operate daytoday ensuring activities are prioritised in line with broader objectives Manage time effectively and adhere to deadlines Qualifications A recognised bachelors degree in Mining, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; or Journeyperson Electrician or Mechanic; or equivalent education, training, or work experience Minimum 35 years of relevant experience within underground mining, equipment manufacturing, or related industries Familiarity with miner borers, continuous miners, and flexible or extendable conveyor systems, mine infrastructure (such as power, ventilation, and bulk materials handling) Capable of learning new software programs for project management Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders High attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment utilizing agile methodologies Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problemsolving skills including root cause analysis training Ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholder groups Motivates themselves and peers to promote and engage in team building and relationshipbuilding activities Additional Information Why Join Bantrel?
