We are looking for a Purchaser who understands that buying produce is, at its core, a relationship. If that''s you, we''d love to talk. What You''ll Do As Purchaser, you are the connective tissue between our grower partners and our customers. You''ll manage daily procurement across multiple commodities, keeping Discovery Organics stocked with the quality organic produce our retail partners count on while nurturing the grower relationships that make it all possible. Procurement & Supply Management Manage day-to-day purchasing of organic produce across a diverse range of commodities Forecast purchasing needs using sales history, seasonal rhythms, and realtime market awareness Monitor availability and market conditions to anticipate supply challenges before they become problems, be proactive so you dont have to be reactive. Negotiate pricing and terms with growers and suppliers in a way that reflects our values fair, transparent, and built for the long term Grower Relationships Maintain and deepen relationships with our existing network of farm partners Communicate regularly with growers about crop availability, quality expectations, and logistics authentic transparency is the basis of trust Develop new supplier connections within the organic farming community when appropriate Market Awareness Track crop conditions, weather patterns, and produce market trends Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to anticipate demand shifts and promotional opportunities Quality & Inventory Partner with our Quality Control Team to uphold the high standards our customers expect Monitor shrink and quality issues and drive continuous improvement Coordinate with Warehouse and Distribution teams to keep inventory levels balanced and responsive Community & Industry Presence Provide feedback and contribute to company and departmental meetings Represent Discovery Organics through farm visits and industry events Be an active, trusted voice within the organic agriculture community Who You Are You have the experience to move quickly in a fastpaced produce environment but you''re not just optimizing for speed or price.
