Location: Lifemark Physiotherapy Amherst - 2 Lawrence St in Amherst, NS B4H 3G5 Status: Full-Time and Part-Time available Pay: Salary and generous benefits for permanent full-time employees; fee for service split possible for part-time Psychologist Lifemark Health Group, Provincial Mental Health Programs & Services The Lifemark Physiotherapy Amherst clinic has been in operation in the downtown Amherst area for 25 years. The clinic is located just off Victoria Street, the main road through the downtown area, on the second floor of the Lawtons building. Build a career while making a difference As the designated service provider for Partner in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Lifemark Health Group is seeking Clinical Psychologists to join our interdisciplinary teams. In this role, you will deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients referred by thirdparty funders such as WCR, MVA and LTD. What sets this role apart? Impactful Work: Provide topquality, clientcentered care utilizing your formal assessment and treatment expertise. Formal Assessment Expertise: Conduct psychological assessments for diverse needs, including treatment planning and preemployment screenings for highrisk occupations. Innovative Approach: Leverage digital therapeutics in your practice. Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a supportive team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists, OTs, PTs, and other allied health professionals. You will find purpose in this role by: Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics. Delivering individual and group treatment for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment, and interpersonal issues. Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams. Contributing to inhouse training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions. Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level. Education and Licensure Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university. Formal training in diagnostic/formal assessments (MMPI3, PAI) is required. Current registration in good standing with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (competency with adult populations is required; clinical designation required; counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology considered assets). Individual professional liability insurance is required at the time of employment. Applied Experience Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning. Providing various evidencebased treatments grounded in cognitivebehavioral approaches. Working in interdisciplinary teams and with thirdparty payers is considered an asset. Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset. Additional Abilities Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams. Efficient with required clinical documentation. Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
