Head of Publishing (Video Games) Location: Ontario, Canada (Hybrid/Remote options available) Company: Titan1Studios Reports to: CEO / President About Titan1Studios Titan1Studios is a North American awardwinning crossmedia studio with offices in Calgary and Toronto. We specialize in developing original IP across a diverse spectrum of media, including graphic novels, film, television, and interactive technology. From the highoctane stealth action of Cat Assassin (starring Dave Bautista) to the genredefying Love is a Roguelite and the haunting atmosphere of Events at Unity Farm, we create content that resonates across platforms. We are now strategically adding internal publishing capabilities to support our growing slate of firstparty titles and a curated selection of select thirdparty developer partners. The Mission We are seeking a Head of Publishing to spearhead this new division. This isn''t about shifting who we are; its about taking full ownership of how our stories reach the world. You will build the infrastructure to launch games across PC, Console, VR, and Mobile, ensuring our IPand that of our partnersreceives a bespoke, hightouch publishing treatment. The ''Sleeves Up'' Factor At Titan1Studios, leadership isn''t a spectator sport. We are a lean, highoutput team where the Head of Publishing must be as comfortable navigating a multimillion dollar distribution deal as they are drafting a Steam community update or troubleshooting a metadata error. You are a builder who isn''t afraid to wear multiple hatsstrategist, marketer, and project managerto cross the finish line. What Youll Do Establish the Pipeline: Design and implement the endtoend workflow for launching both internal and select thirdparty titles. Global Expansion & Partnerships: Proactively seek out and secure copublishing and cofinancing opportunities to expand our footprint and ensure our titles reach all parts of the globe. GTM & Strategy: Own the GoToMarket roadmap for our upcoming slate, ensuring maximum impact for Cat Assassin, Love is a Roguelite, Welcome: A Cozy Estuary, and Armadillo Avalanche. Platform Relations: Manage highlevel relationships with Sony, Xbox, Nintendo, Valve, and Epic, while also handling the ''nittygritty'' of storefront submissions and IARC ratings. Marketing & PR Mastery: Lead the vision for trailers, influencers, and press outreach. Youll often be the one ''sending the emails'' and ''making the calls'' to ensure our games get the spotlight. CrossMedia Synergy: Collaborate with our Film/TV and Publishing (Books/Comics) teams to ensure game launches synchronize with broader IP milestones. Who You Are The PlayerCoach: 8+ years in game publishing. You have the executive presence to report to the CEO, but the tactical grit to manage a Discord server or edit a press release yourself. The MultiHyphenate: You have likely worked in agile studios where you had to learn every facet of the publishing cycle, from Steamworks backend to PAX booth logistics. The Connector: You possess a deep rolodex of platform holders, press contacts, and creators. The Scaler: You are excited by the challenge of building a department from the ground up within an already successful, multidisciplinary studio. Position Summary The Head of Publishing is responsible for the commercial success and global distribution of Titan1Studios'' interactive portfolio. This role bridges the gap between development and the player, requiring a leader who can manage highlevel P&L and strategy while executing daily tactical publishing tasks. Key Responsibilities Strategy Global GTM and pricing strategies. Writing Steam store descriptions and managing tags. Partnerships Negotiating firstparty and 3rd party dev contracts. Uploading builds and managing store assets. Marketing Setting brand identity and USPs. Coordinating with freelance artists for social assets. Operations Managing the publishing budget and P&L. Organizing travel and logistics for industry events. Success Metrics Seamless establishment of an internal publishing workflow. Successful market entry and revenue performance of Love is a Roguelite and Cat Assassin. Establishing Titan1Studios as a ''publisher of choice'' for select thirdparty indie developers. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $80,000 $120,000 CAD per annum (Commensurate with experience). Incentive Program: Performancebased bonuses tied to global revenue milestones, successful cofinancing acquisitions, and key title launch KPIs.
