We are looking for a Die Reprocessing Operator at our Perth, Ontario location who takes pride in quality work, follows safety procedures, and contributes to an efficient environment. This role involves operating specialized equipment, performing detailed inspection and measurement work. Pay: Hourly - $18.00-$21.50 General Purpose of the Position Reprocesses all types of dies used at Central Wire as well as maintaining the die stock and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reprocess dies according to specs Setup and operate machine tools, ultrasonic cleaners, ultrasonic die machines and polishers Pull wire or rod through die manually Measure wire and rod, using measuring instruments e.g. micrometer to verify conformance of die to specification Complete required paperwork Perform close, intricate and detailed work Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines Other duties as assigned Position Requirements High school graduate or equivalent Ability to read and write Ability to interpret drawings, follow instructions and use simple math and basic measuring tools with accuracy Ability to use a microscope Basic computer skills for data entry purposes, excel, word, outlook Excellent time management skills with ability to work independently with little supervision Ability to perform multiple tasks Detail oriented Team player Dependable and prompt Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to carry up to 25 lbs occasionally Frequent standing, sitting and walking Bending, twisting and reaching Use of hands and feet to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, controls, press buttons, levers and pedals Repetitive movements (grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling and reaching) Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves and any other protective equipment deemed necessary. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable Exposure to minor cuts or burns Exposure to contaminants This posting is for an existing vacancy.
