In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 14): NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: Additional Required Qualifications CTAS within 6 months of hire. IV initiation and infusion therapy certification or equivalent proof of competency. Experience using Windows computers, Outlook, Connect Care. This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, patient transfer, pulling, typing, and fine motor tasks, with lifting requirements of up to 100lbs occasionally, 2150lbs frequently, and 020lbs constantly. Preferred Qualifications ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC or EPIC. Rural Nurse Connect Care Trained. RSI Training or airway management experience, procedural sedation training. Education/experience with breastfeeding support. 1year experience labor and delivery, emergency or rural acute care in the last 3years.
