We are looking for a Manager, Commissioning MLE to report to the Superintendent, HVC MLE Operational Readiness. This 24month longterm temporary position involves planning and execution of the commissioning of the MLE Project. Key colleagues include the Projects PreOperational Testing Manager, the OR Senior Reliability Engineer, and the OR Coordinator. Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader; adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. Work closely with the Projects PreOperational Testing Manager to develop a detailed Commissioning Plan that aligns with the PreOperational Testing Plan, including: Develop and refine systemisation and tiein lists Build a commissioning schedule that aligns with construction and preops testing Manage the resolution of punches by category, ensuring that assets are turned over to HVC with a minimum of remaining work Monitor construction verification activities and preoperational testing activities to minimise punches that carry through to commissioning. Resolve punches that carry through to commissioning. Work closely with the Projects Construction team to ensure a construction schedule that minimises shutdown duration and coordinates construction work with the mill activities. Communicate effectively with the Mill Maintenance, Operations, Planning & Reliability teams during the commissioning process. Ensure that turnover packs are complete and information handover is effective. Ensure that baseline condition monitoring is executed correctly. Conduct RCFAs when required for early failures. Ensure that commissioning spares are effectively transferred to the warehouse. Other responsibilities as required or as assigned. Qualifications University degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant Trade. Minimum 810 years of seniorlevel experience, preferably in mining or natural resources. Recognised leader with strong planning, analytical, and decisionmaking skills. Strong interpersonal skills and personal effectiveness; proven ability to influence. Results oriented and adept at finding effective solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage and/or work effectively and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams. Familiarity with the operation of a concentrator and strong technical understanding of mills, feeders, conveyors, pumps, and other processing equipment.
