Responsibilities As a senior operational risk advisor for the second line of defence, youll collaborate on strategic issues with the frontline of the life and health insurance sector. Your role is to support, challenge and monitor nonfinancial risks to help guide informed, robust decisionmaking that aligns with risk management best practices. Youre a recognised leader in operational risk management, overseeing the endtoend production, analysis and presentation of quarterly operational risk reports. You supervise complex files on your own, facilitate clear, structured and businessoriented discussions with highlevel internal partners, and explain multidimensional issues at the executive level. Produce, analyse, draft and present the quarterly operational risk reports for the life and health insurance sector. Maintain an ongoing business dialogue and longterm relationships with partners by supporting operational and strategic teams in understanding and managing risks. Ensure the quality, consistency and business value of the analyses and deliverables for the second line of defence, including conducting reviews, challenges and quality assurance of the risk positions. Maintain an integrated view of sector risks, diagnose priority issues and prioritize activities in line with the sector roadmap. Serve as a goto reference for assigning, coordinating and guiding files, and use your subjectmatter expertise and feedback to support team members further development. Represent the team on committees and decisionmaking bodies, including filling in for the risk officer, and influence key decisions on multidisciplinary projects. Develop and update operational risk management practices, processes, tools and methodologies.
