consider this exciting opportunity to join OCWAs management team **to lead and manage water and wastewater capital infrastructure projects** that will support the provision of drinking water and wastewater treatment to various municipalities located within the Kawartha Trent Region.**In this role you will:*** Plan, lead and manage the delivery of capital infrastructure projects for the water and wastewater clients of the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) in a defined geographic region in order to support effective operational effectiveness, efficiency, safety, and optimum asset management.* Supervise and manage capital programs in collaboration with our operations teams.* Provide management and administration of construction projects to ensure successful implementation.* Travel within the region to the various facilities, attend site and client meetings as required.* Provide input and support to the engineering and design of plant expansions, including working with contractors and engineering consultants.* Ensure compliance with existing legislation and management systems.* Lead/provide strategic/technical expertise, advice and policy recommendations to regional/OCWA management and regional clients/partners on preventative maintenance strategies and technical solutions to support client operations and OCWA business development objectives.* Support asset management by ensuring updates to WMS for all new and decommissioned equipment related to capital projects.* Update and manage OCWAs regional Maximo Database, including the asset registry, preventative maintenance program and overall application improvements with a focus on overall continuous improvement of the Program.* Facilitate workshops and provide training to local operations staff on capital delivery and project management practices.What we are looking for: **Mandatory**:* Valid Class G drivers license.**Technical Skills and Knowledge*** Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in the delivery of capital projects pertaining to water/wastewater treatment and water distribution and wastewater collection system.* Demonstrated expertise in project management of capital projects from start to completion including definition and management of scope, schedule and budget, procurement, contractor management, site health and safety, contract administration.* Sound knowledge of related legislation, codes, standards, policies, and quality assurance and client service principles and practices.* Price and proposal development, project management and budget control.* Demonstrated knowledge of CMMS, Work Management Systems, and PC software.* Demonstrated knowledge of asset management principles and maintenance management.* Strong understanding of maintenance practices and their application.* Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices in water and wastewater systems maintenance, operations, and administration.* Knowledge of legislation related to water/wastewater maintenance, operations, and health and safety.* Knowledge of project management principles/practices.**Communication, Political Acuity, and Relationship develop project budgets.* Experience and knowledge of the equipment utilized in Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities.* Knowledge of construction procurement procedures to manage and execute capital projects.* Knowledge of human resources management practices, policies and guidelines.* Good problem solving, planning, project management, analytical and research skills.* Develop, review, revise, and implement maintenance procedures and program standards.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with and providing support to staff, colleagues, clients, and management to ensure that all program and project requirements are addressed.* Prepare required detailed reports, meeting minutes, and actionable items.* Prepare, review and implement work plans.*
