Youll guide multidisciplinary teams, influence design outcomes, and help deliver impactful, communityfocused solutions across Ottawa and the Southwestern Ontario region. Your work will support everything from cuttingedge institutional builds to complex industrial sitesand youll do it while building trusted relationships with clients and partners. Your Impact Lead structural design delivery for small and mediumsized projects, ensuring technical excellence and seamless coordination across disciplines. Oversee structural scope on large, complex, multidisciplinary projectsmanaging resources, technical content, client communications, and project planning endtoend. Apply advanced engineering judgment and perform structural analysis for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry systems, supported by leadingedge modelling tools. Conduct field reviews, inspections, and condition assessments to evaluate performance and support constructionphase needs. Prepare detailed design documentationdrawings, sections, specificationsand ensure exceptional quality across all deliverables. Mentor intermediate and junior staff, helping shape the next generation of structural engineering talent at WSP. Contribute to proposals, business development, and strategic pursuits, strengthening WSPs presence and relationships in the region. Collaborate nationally with teams across Canada to align technical approaches, share insights, and advance innovation. The Skills That Set You Apart Professional Engineer (PEO) with 10+ years of experience delivering structural engineering solutions across sectors. Deep technical expertise and ability to lead structural delivery on multidisciplinary projects with confidence and clarity. Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and National Building Code (NBC) with a solutionoriented mindset. Expertise in structural modelling and analysis tools, applying advanced finite element methods. Clientfacing, responsive, proactive, and committed to service excellence. Energized by mentoring, collaboration, curiosity, innovation, and inclusive design cultures. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $103,500 $137,400 (Grade 7, Tier 3) MB & ON: $104,500 $143,900 (Grade 7, Tier 3) NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $103,500 $137,400 (Grade 7, Tier 3) The final salary awarded for this role may vary based on several factors including education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
