Job Description

Who are we? WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO). We operate from facilities located on the South Shore of Montreal at MET Montreal Metropolitan Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB). We provide scheduled and line maintenance services, avionics modifications, and research and development services for business aircraft and large carriers. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimize downtime. Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At its inception, the company operated a single Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, the Chrono Aviation Group boasts a fleet of 12 aircraft and a team of nearly 200 employees. Role and context The Quality Assurance Representative conducts internal audits, technical inspections, and compliance follow-ups. The ensures the application of quality policies and compliance with regulatory requirements in aircraft maintenance. Key Responsibilities Conduct internal audits of maintenance procedures Inspect aircraft, tools, and facilities according to quality standards Document non-conformities and recommend corrective actions Participate in investigations related to technical incidents Follow up on corrective and preventive measures Maintain up-to-date quality documentation (procedures, records, forms) Train staff on quality best practices Support continuous improvement initiatives Participate in Transport Canada or other regulatory authority inspections Promote a quality-focused culture across all departments Key competencies Critical thinking Thoroughness Autonomy Attention to detail Integrity Specific Job Requirements AME licence or recognized training in aeronautical quality assurance 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or technical inspection Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), CASS, and approved maintenance practices Experience with audit tools and document management systems Proficiency with office software (Excel, databases, etc.) Strong writing and summarizing skills Ability to interact effectively with technical teams and management Proficiency in French is required for this position. In addition, a strong command of English is also required in order to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and internationally.
