Position Title Real Estate Specialist Department Sc.wnwen Land Development Corporation (SLDC) Supervisor SLDC Manager Terms Full-Time, Permanent Reference # 2026-032 About Us SLDC is an arms length entity of Temlpste Secwpemc (TteS) focused on land leasing/development and clean energy projects that advance economic sovereignty to support the communitys needs and vision, for now and future generations. Purpose The Real Estate Specialist supports the delivery of SLDCs mandate by advancing real estate and land-based projects that contribute to the sustainable development, servicing, and readiness of Tkemlpste Secwpemc lands. Through early-stage feasibility work, land servicing coordination, and administrative support in leasing/records management, the position helps move assigned projects forward in alignment with SLDCs economic development objectives, stewardship responsibilities, and longterm community priorities. Key Responsibilities Development Readiness Activities Support advancement of assigned real estate and land-based initiatives toward development readiness Conduct and contribute to early-stage feasibility work, including preliminary land use review, highlevel servicing considerations, and constraint identification Coordinate technical inputs such as surveys, geotechnical, environmental, traffic, and utility information, as required Support and coordinate work necessary to service land for development, working with internal departments, consultants, and service providers Assist with site assessments, technical reviews, and preparation of supporting documentation Maintain records and documentation related to assigned initiative per department standards Leasing & Records Administration Provide administrative support for leasing activities, including lease renewals and rent reviews Maintain accurate lease records, key dates, and related documentation Support upkeep of lease tracking systems to improve accuracy, visibility, and reporting Assist with monitoring lease status and key obligations, and flag issues for review by senior staff Support tenant communications related to documentation, records, and renewals Coordination, Research & Reporting Conduct research and analysis to support real estate and land-based initiatives, as assigned Compile and maintain factual and technical information related to sites, servicing status, constraints, and development readiness Provide inputs and information to internal teams, including marketing and communications, for use in external materials Support internal coordination across projects, including tracking of inputs, timelines, and deliverables Prepare summaries, updates, and basic reports to support internal decisionmaking and project oversight Assist general project coordination, data organization, and administrative tasks as required Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Diploma or degree in business, commerce, construction management, urban planning, law, paralegal studies, engineering technology, or a related field Three (3) years relevant experience in real estate, land development support, construction, legal or technical coordination, infrastructure, or project delivery Experience working with developmentrelated documentation (legal, technical, or servicingrelated) is an asset Experience working with Indigenous organizations, local government, or publicsector environments is an asset Demonstrated project leadership on complex initiatives; PMP designation considered an asset Valid Class 5 BC drivers license and access to a reliable/insured vehicle; travel as required Equivalent combinations of education, training, and directly relevant experience will be considered. Pay Starting at $31.41 - $35.49 per hour based on education and experience.
