About The Role The Senior Site Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of onsite construction activities, from project catching to complete this role involved with the stakeholders including project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project execution within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Responsibility Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget. Supervise and direct daytoday field activities and manage the construction site. Setup and maintain the site to promote clean, tidy, and a professional image of the company. Able to resolve conflicts effectively to preserve the collaborative culture of the project. Ensure construction satisfies all permit requirements. Help prepare and maintain the project schedule. Review and coordinate delivery dates of critical materials. Organize preconstruction meetings with each trade to ensure they have all contract documents and are familiar with all the requirements. Ensure all trades complete their scope of work to an acceptable standard. Manage the Union issues on site and resolve disputers with subtrades. Manage and maintain project costs within budget. Have a strong understanding of construction contracts. Read and understand the subcontracts to ensure the scope of work is accurate and understood by all parties. Establish quantities, order materials, and reconcile with estimates. Completion of reports for concrete ordering and pouring. Manage and implement Change Orders. Conduct an initial review and provide feedback on shop drawings. Provide feedback on site issues to improve efficiency on future projects. Manage the clean up of the site and ensure that costs are allocated to the responsible parties, staying within our budget. Qualification Requirements The successful candidate will have a technical college diploma in Construction Management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry. Able to manage site operations on complex projects that exceed $75 million. Strong understanding and adherence to safety standards. Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project. Journeyman Carpentry Certification and/or Gold Seal Certification is an asset.
