Stantec Calgarys Water Group is seeking a fourmonth summer term, expected to commence in May 2026 and conclude in August 2026. These tasks include research for uptodate techniques, calculations, field work, project coordination, reporting, and meeting attendance and recording. Key Responsibilities As part of the Calgary Water team, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include: Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Process Water group. Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects. This may involve: Monitoring and reporting on current construction activities Assisting the commissioning lead with startup and commissioning activities. Onsite document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance. Utilize knowledge of the general concepts of relevant basic engineering elements. Generate preliminary calculations and reports. Review drawings and complete audits on relevant project design elements. Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects. Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Access, Project, or similar tools is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and follow direction while meeting project requirements. Attention to detail, with the ability to review own work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives. Willingness to learn, ask questions, and actively contribute to problemsolving through critical and creative thinking. Professional, respectful, and positive communication style in both written and inperson interactions. Education and Experience 3rd or 4th year engineering students able to take an internship/coop term are encouraged to apply. Valid drivers licence and a satisfactory driving record, with the ability to travel to project sites as required. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for parttime roles will be prorated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
