Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Senior 3D Generalist with a focus on Houdini Grooming to join our cinematics team. For this position, the desired candidate should be extremely selfmotivated and experienced enough to develop new workflows and help refine our processes. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work onsite and some workfromhome. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each persons circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements. This is roughly a 2-3 month temporary position. Responsibilities Priorities can often change in a fastpaced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: We are looking for experts that can deliver high quality photo realistic work and highly stylized looks. This artist will also be working closely with surfacing and simulation to deliver work that looks beautiful and is highly functional. To be considered for this position you should be very technically minded, experienced with Maya and Houdini and have a great eye for design and form. Minimum Requirements 8+ Years experience using Maya and Houdini in a professional environment (Game Studio, Animation Studio, or VFX Studio) 8+ Years experience grooming in Houdini Knowledge & Skills Expert at troubleshooting and solving problems independently Deep understanding of VFX Production Pipelines Ability to take creative direction and enhance the creative process Extra Points Experience with VEX Experience with Python Working Knowledge of Katana, RenderMan, Redshift, Solaris Application Materials required Resume (PDF Preferred) Link to reel and/or portfolio Your Platform Best known for iconic video game universes including Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft, Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. The standard base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 - $168,800.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in British Columbia, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
