Seasonal Position - Certified Swim Instructor Part-Time, Seasonal Position Township of McNab/Braeside Parks & Recreation Department Position Overview: The Township of McNab/Braeside is hiring two Certified Swim Instructors to lead outdoor swimming lessons at Burnstown Beach this summer! If you have a passion for swimming and a talent for teaching, this is a great opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying the outdoors. We are looking for patient, energetic, and responsible individuals who can create a safe and fun learning environment for young swimmers. Hours & Terms 9:45 am - 12:45 pm, Mon-Thurs, July 6th - August 20th Rate of Pay $18.75 / hour Location Burnstown Beach, 1537 Calabogie Road Certifications Required: Swim for Life current NL + CPR-C and First Aid Duties: Develop and instruct lesson plans based on the Lifesaving Societys program Ensure a safe aquatic environment by following safety protocols Complete swimmer progress reports at the end of the program session Skills/ Abilities/ Work Demands: Teach swimming lessons for Parent & Tot, Preschool 1-4, Swimmer 1 & 2 Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to swimmers Maintain positive relationships with participants and parents Work collaboratively with fellow instructors Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in a physically active role Please submit your resume in confidence, clearly marked quoting Swim Instructor, no later than April 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. to: Mandy Cannon, Interim CAO/Clerk by email - Drop off or mail: Township of McNab/Braeside, 2473 Russett Drive, Arnprior, ON K7S 3G8 The Township of McNab/Braeside is an equal opportunity employer.
