Job Description Experience Required: 46 Skills: MVS System Administration, HP VAX VMS / OpenVMS System Administration Role Overview We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with strong expertise in server infrastructure, system upgrades, and collaboration across IT operations. The ideal candidate will have handson experience leading server upgrade initiatives, working closely with infrastructure teams, and supporting application environments. Knowledge of containers and OpenShift is essential. Key Responsibilities Server & Infrastructure Administration Manage, configure, and support server environments across the organization. Work with infrastructure teams to build new servers, configure system components, and perform environment setup. Support certificate integration and ensure secure communication across environments. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in performance optimization. Server Upgrade Leadership Lead endtoend server upgrade projects, from planning to execution and validation. Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security groups to ensure seamless upgrade activities. Document upgrade procedures and maintain system continuity throughout transition phases. Application Understanding & Support Possess a functional understanding of hosted applications to effectively manage underlying infrastructure. Collaborate with application teams to diagnose environment issues and support deployment needs. Ensure compatibility between applications, servers, and middleware components. Containers & OpenShift Work with containerized environments and contribute to deployments within OpenShift. Assist in designing, managing, and monitoring containerbased services. Support modernization efforts involving containerization and cloudnative solutions. Essential Skills Strong experience as a System Administrator with deep understanding of servers and infrastructure. Ability to lead server upgrade projects and coordinate crossfunctional activities. Handson experience building servers, integrating certificates, and managing server environments. Good understanding of how applications operate within infrastructure layers. Experience with containers and OpenShift.
