Environmental Health Summer Student 2026-15 Terms: 35 hrs per week, effective June 29, 2026 to August 28, 2026 Salary: $16.85 - $19.10 per hour Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our team for the summer. This role is ideal for high school students with an interest in environmental science, public health, and community safety. The successful candidate will gain handson experience supporting public health inspection activities and promoting safe, healthy environments within our community. Qualifications Currently enrolled in high school, with an interest in environmental science, public health, or related fields Strong interest in learning about public health inspection and environmental health practices Valid drivers license and reliable access to transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Strong communication, organization, and timemanagement skills Willingness to work both in office and outdoor field settings Other Requirements All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
