Overview Position Type: Administration/ Assistant Principal Date Posted: 2/20/2026 Location: Pacific Intermediate Date Available: 07/01/2026 Closing Date: 03/22/2026 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS MS in Educational Administration/Valid DESE Principal Certification required Assistant Principal experience preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Handle individual discipline cases sent to the school office Develop and encourage positive methods of attendance Supervise a system of absentee contacts and a system of admit slips Provide the leadership necessary to assist all departments in organizing and carrying on a program of continuous curriculum revisions Develop a system of traffic control and parking on campus Assume control of the school in the absence of the principal Be in charge of lunchroom supervision Provide written documentation to any suspended student and his/her parent/guardian, listing the reason(s) for the suspension Assist the principal in the supervision of all extracurricular activities Collaborate with faculty on performance objectives Assist in leading professional development activities Assist in planning daily school activities by participating in the development of class schedules, faculty assignments, and extra-curricular activity schedules Perform any other duties that may be requested by the principal For a complete listing of job responsibilities and fitness for duty requirements, see our Assistant Principal Elementary Job Description at TERMS: Full-time with benefits; Placement on the Administrator Salary Schedule EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2026 CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Recommendation to be given at the March or April 2026 Board of Education meeting.
