PURPOSE The PartTime Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of digital marketing communications for SAMU. Working with the fulltime Digital Marketing Coordinator and reporting to the Marketing Services Manager, this role assists with executing digital marketing requests, including social media, email marketing, website updates, and other digital communications. This position is ideal for someone who is familiar with digital communications, enjoys detailoriented work, and is eager to learn in a fastpaced environment. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Social Media & Content Scheduling (25%) Support content organization and maintenance of the social media calendar Schedule social media posts using designated planning platforms Assist with proofing, writing captions and formatting posts as directed Monitor social media comments and messages and elevate inquiries as needed Attend events to capture live photo and video content for realtime social media posting as needed Upload and monitor content across social digital channels Website Support (25%) Upload and update website content as directed Assist with the creation of new webpages and events Assist with formatting and proactively updating content Support the creation of checklists and conduct quality control checks to ensure content is current Contribute to website optimization efforts, including SEO enhancements Email Marketing Support (20%) Assist in preparing and formatting the biweekly student email newsletter Prepare and schedule reminder emails and automated communications for various events and initiatives Coordinate email deadlines and ensure timely deployment Support creation of signup forms and basic email templates Digital Signage & QR Code Coordination (15%) Schedule and maintain content for digital TV signage Ensure digital screens are updated and scheduled appropriately Coordinate and generate QR codes for campaigns and initiatives Check all published QR codes to ensure accuracy Develop a schedule for the SAMU sign colors and change the colors according to the schedule Administrative & General Support (15%) Provide support to administrative marketing tasks Maintain organized digital files and asset libraries Gather data from website, social media, and other digital platforms as directed, and assist in preparing monthly internal analytics reports Other duties as assigned VALUES Students FirstSAMU is here for the students. Enrolled in Marketing, Communications or other related Certification/Degree program. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Suite Experience and understanding of various social media channels Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms is considered an asset (content management platform, email marketing software, Wordpress, etc) Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience developing and marketing content (both traditional and digital) Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) Outgoing and collaborative personality who isnt afraid of being on camera (if needed) and interacting with groups of people A passion for staying current on digital marketing communications and trends Time management skills to juggle multiple priorities at the same time Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing demands and a variety of inhouse clients WORKING CONSIDERATIONS Sedentary Sitting, Standing, Walking Requires occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and climbing stairs Occasional flexibility in hours may be required to support campaigns or events TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Up to 25 hours/week, with office hours between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
