About The Job Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation, the Miner 3 i is an integral part of the mining operation at the Silvertip Operation. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, and punctuality are essential requirements for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities The Miner 3 is responsible for the safe and productive operation of eight (8) yard scoops, 30 and 45-ton haul trucks; Scissor lifts and Boom trucks. Able to assist in the installation of mine services, as well as assist in loading rounds. Ensure all policies and procedures in relation to safety and production are followed. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential requirements for this position. Required Qualifications & Skills Minimum two (2) years underground mining experience. Minimum one (1) year operating heavy equipment underground; (scoop/truck). Ability to operate various underground utility vehicles. B.C. underground blasting ticket considered an asset. First aid ticket an asset. Ability to operate a trans mixer an asset. Ability to shoot shotcrete an asset. Physically fit to perform the duties of the position. Mining, Oil and Gas or Heavy Industrial experience is preferred. Strong problem-solving, teamwork and ability to develop and foster strong working relationships. Strong sense of integrity, ethics and desire to positively impact the environment. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce. Additional Information Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp. Eligible for monthly bonus. Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
