Our client, a leader in specialized building solutions, is looking for a dedicated Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join their team in Kitchener. The Opportunity This position is a maternity leave cover, with a possibility of transitioning into a permanent role, dependent on the company''s continued growth. Reporting to a Controller, you will be a vital part of the team, ensuring efficient financial and administrative operations. Responsibilities Manage comprehensive nonunion payroll processing on a weekly cycle. Administer key HR functions, including benefits coordination, new employee onboarding, and Records of Employment (ROEs). Provide essential support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, with a primary focus on payroll operations. Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments, particularly field teams. Key Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated strong knowledge and handson experience in nonunion payroll processing. Experience using QuickBooks Desktop. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, crucial for internal collaboration. Work Arrangement & Compensation Option to work either fulltime or parttime hours.
