About the Role As our Real Estate Law Clerk, you will manage real estate transactions from start to finish, including purchases, sales, and refinances. You will ensure each file is handled accurately, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to client service. Key Responsibilities Prepare documentation and correspondence related to real estate transactions, including drafting documents, preparing reports, and statements of account Respond to email inquiries, order required documents and notices, and ensure all attachments and supporting materials are accurate and complete Receive, respond to, or appropriately redirect telephone inquiries Process residential real estate transactions from beginning to end, including purchases, sales, and refinances Initiate follow-up actions as required to ensure deadlines are met Draft wills, powers of attorney, and related documents as needed Perform other duties as assigned What Were Looking For Required Law Clerk Diploma or Certificate 3+ years of experience in residential/commercial/agricultural real estate transactions Strong working knowledge of purchase, sale, and refinance processes Experience conducting title searches and reviewing real estate documentationKnowledge of applicable real estate legislation and regulatory requirements Strong client service experience in a legal services environment Ability to manage transactional work with strong attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting Excellent discretion when handling confidential information Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Professional communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to take initiative, complete tasks, and multitask Preferred Experience working in a high-volume residential/commercial/agricultural real estate practice Proficiency with Unity, Soluno, and Teraview Ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision Working Conditions Office-based, onsite position in Chatham, ON Hours: 8:30 am 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am 4:00 pm Fridays 35-hour work week, with potential for overtime during peak periods Some lifting or movement of items up to 15lbs may be required Compensation Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications Why Join Us?
