Who You Are - Valid Transport Canada STCW Certificate of Competency 4th Class marine engineering certificate or higher. - Experience managing shipboard personnel, operations and refits. - Commitment to safety, security and service. - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a diverse team. - Ability to mentor others using knowledge and skills. - Pride in the engine room and machinery condition. Qualifications - STCW 4th/3rd/2nd Class marine engineering certificate (depending on level). - Experience in refit and drydock operations. - Experience supervising/managing staff. - Experience in marine engineering shorebased positions or Senior Dayworking Engineer. - Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance practices. Language Requirements English essential. Bilingual imperative if indicated.
