The Department of Professional Nursing and Allied Health in the Faculty of Nursing invites applications for an entrylevel, fulltime, tenuretrack appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. The Faculty of Nursing delivers excellent nursing education across four academic Departments, which collectively offer a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), a Bridge to Canadian Nursing Certificate and other postcredential learning experiences. The Department of Professional Nursing and Allied Health provides students, nurses, and healthcare professionals with innovative learning opportunities designed to expand knowledge and increase expertise. Courses and programs in this department emphasize specific areas of continued learning, which are aligned with dynamic health care environments and responsive to health care education needs. You will teach undergraduate nursing students in various settings (mostly classroom and possibly lab) and inspire student learning across departments and programs within the Faculty of Nursing. You must have a terminal degree (Masters required and PhD preferred) in a nursing related field with strong nursing experience. You will demonstrate a primary commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be committed to developing and sustaining an ongoing program of research. You will have curriculum development experience and have a passion for innovation in nursing education. Applicants must have unencumbered licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and/or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) and meet the Requisite Skills and Abilities of the applicable profession(s). You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae at the time of application. A teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, and sample of scholarly work will be requested should you be selected for an interview.
